Flushing My System (2009)

Flushing My System was released on January 1st, 2009 as a free download online release only, under the Chaos Entertainment Record Label. Flushing My System was an album that I decided to do when I was looking through my notebooks and found that I had a lot of songs written that I never got around to recording. So I finished writing some songs, wrote some new songs, and then recorded everything. The whole album took about 6 months from idea to finished product. Flushing My System features several artists including JCD of the Prospectz, Jael, and Kayser9soze.

Flushing My System

They Call This Progress (2007)

They Call This Progress was released in early 2007, though all of the tracks were written and recorded in late 2006. It was a little 8 track project that I thought of for me and JCD to do, just to put something out there for the people to listen to. We started writing in late October and had the EP recorded by the end of December, all while attending school. Then in early January 2007 the cover art was created and the CD was put online as a free release. We also came together and decided on using The Prospectz as a group name, as previously we had no group name, so the EP was released under the name The Prospectz.

We don't know how many copies got downloaded, but the response from most people was that they prefered to pay a little bit for a physical copy, so that is what we will probably do next time anything gets released. JCD and myself think They Call This Progress came out decent, but it was a little rushed and we think that's reflected in the songs. Overall though, it's a good listen and worth your time to download and check out.

They Call This Progress

Chaos-Ent Mixtape (2006)

Released in early spring 2006, the Chaos-Ent Mixtape was the first venture into releasing an actual record for myself or JCD. The mixtape lists me as JiLt because that is what I used to use as a stage name, I now go by Chris Cookz. It wasn't really a thought out process, and there were only a handful of tracks that were written specifically for the mixtape (Rest In Peace, Freight Trail Pt. II, Night Life, just to name a few). Most of the others were just tracks that we had recorded and released at a prior date, and then compiled onto the CD. We made copies and sold them at school for $2 a disk, making a little profit over what we had spent to create the CD's. The CD's sold over 100 copies the first week at school, and then there were scattered sales for the next couple of months. I now have the CD on here for free download. So please take the time to check it out, give it a listen, and leave me a comment if you feel like you want to share your opinion about it.
